Our students stay in your family for one or two weeks at a time.

You do not need training
You do not need previous experience
You must have a nice comfortable and clean home
You must enjoy sharing family life
You must be a warm and welcoming person
You must be an Anglophone
Your family must have at least 3 friendly members
You must be a family who does lots of things together
You provide full board and full program, you are the host
You can earn more if you have a teaching qualification

Students generally stay in the USA for one to two weeks during their school/university holidays.


During their stay, students expect a friendly host family who is lively, interesting and modern who takes them out and speak to them all day long. Students have chosen this full-time immersion type of stay to be with families and make the most language progress possible. Immersion is essential. (No other student in the family at the time of hosting)

If you have a teaching qualification, you could earn more, as some students are keen to study in the home too. Although you must teach to the requirements set.

If you know someone who would do a good host family, you receive a $20 commission fee on the arrival of their first booking.
